It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Allan Ralph Davis, age 75, at his son’s, (Gary & wife Kelly) Bradford, Ontario on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, surrounded by his family.



Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Marjorie (McNeil) Davis and the late Ralph Davis. Allan spent his early life in Nova Scotia, later moved to Alberta, and built his 30-year career in scaffolding, spending over 20 at Steeplejack Services Group. About this time, Allan decided he liked ‘Al’ much better - he was always proud to say ‘only my mother calls me Allan’ - also well known in his hometown Springhill as ‘Bell’ his nickname. His many friends in Calgary know him as Al Davis. Outside of work, Al’s biggest loves were his dogs, going on long drives, raising a glass with good friends, playing cribbage, and feeding the stray dogs in the area.

Al will be fondly remembered by his mother, Marjorie Davis, brother Gerald ‘Bear’ (Pamela) Davis, Springhill; children Gary (Kelly) Davis, Ontario; Donnie (Lisa) Davis, Springhill; Ronnie (Jane Willet) Davis, Amherst; Tracy Davis, Dartmouth; and Shirley (Dean Simpson) Burton, Amherst; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, long time friends Barb Klaassen (AB & SK), Bob Thompson, Cheryl Gowen, Mike Lakeman (AB), Carl Hatton, Don Goode, Springhill, NS

We would also like to send so much gratitude to the Palliative care team at Southlake Regional Hospital: Dr. Leung & Liz, nurses from St. Elizabeth: Tracy & Helene and PSW: Erin

Besides his father, Al was predeceased by his brother Jimmy Davis in infancy, as well as aunts, uncles, in-laws and cousins

Due to family and friends being spread all over many provinces, there will be no service at this time. Al requested that you all raise a glass to him.
